Compulsory Subjects:- English ; M.I.L.(Assamese) or Alt. English

Elective Subjects :- A student must select four elective subjects from the following :  Economics, Education, Logic & Philosophy, History, Pol. Science, Adv. Assamese, Mathematics, Introductory Computer & Enterpreneurship.

Science

Compulsory Subjects :- English ;  M.I.L.(Assamese) or Alt. English

Elective Subjects :- A student must select four elective subjects from the following Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Logic & Philosophy, Biology, Introductory- Computer, Entrepreneurship Development.

Vocational Courses :- Six months diploma programme in computer has been introduced from 2004- 05 for H.S. Students.

Sericulture Course for Degree Science Stream.

Remedial Courses :- There is provision for remedial course  for weaker learners.

Subjects offered in Degree Course (Arts)

Degree students in the Arts stream must have to offer English, M.I.L. Or Alt. English in the 1^st year as compulsory subjects and take up any two elective subjects listed below. Major in any of the subjects given offering (except Elective Assamese) may be offered. The candidates offering major in English or Assamese have to offer one elective subjects as per the provision of the Regulation of G.U. However a student taking major in Assamese can not offer elective Assamese as pass course.

Science

Degree Science students must offer English as compulsory subjects. They have to select any three elective subjects given below. They may also take a subjects as major form the major subject list mentioned below.

Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology & Sericulture.

Major Subjects :

Mathematics, Physics, Botany, Zoology.
